Perfect Blend of History and Natural Beauty
Step Back in Time at Pearl Harbor’s Historic Sites
On the Pearl Harbor and Mini Circle Island Tour Departing from Maui you will embark on a journey through Oahu’s most iconic landmarks, starting at the Pearl Harbor Historic Sites Visitor Center. Here, history comes to life through engaging exhibits that detail the events leading up to December 7, 1941. Watch a powerful documentary that captures the significance of that fateful day. Then, board a boat for a peaceful ride across the harbor to the USS Arizona Memorial. At this hallowed site, experience a moment of quiet reflection. Below the surface, the sunken battleship remains as a tribute to the 1,177 lives lost. Look closely, and you’ll see oil droplets—known as “The Tears of the Arizona”—still rising from the wreckage, a solemn reminder of the past.
Delight in Pineapple Paradise at Dole Plantation
Next, visit the Dole Plantation, a must-see attraction for pineapple lovers. Ride the Pineapple Express Train Tour and take in views of lush pineapple fields (availability depends on tour size). Stroll through gardens filled with Rainbow Eucalyptus trees, a striking natural wonder. Don’t miss the chance to try the famous Dole Whip, a refreshing pineapple soft serve that’s perfect for a tropical day. Before leaving, explore the massive gift shop, offering unique pineapple-themed souvenirs and local Hawaiian treats.
Scenic Adventures: North Shore, Haleiwa, and Pali Lookout
The adventure continues with a scenic drive along Oahu’s legendary North Shore. Witness world-famous surf beaches, where massive winter waves attract top surfers from around the globe. Stop in Haleiwa Town, a charming surf village known for its laid-back vibe and unique local shops. Next, take in panoramic views from the Pali Lookout, a historic site with breathtaking views of Oahu’s lush Windward Coast. For lunch, stop at Tanaka’s Kahuku Shrimp stand, where you can savor their mouthwatering, garlicky shrimp while soaking in the relaxed, beachside atmosphere.
Breathtaking Views Along Oahu’s South Shore
Your tour continues along Oahu’s stunning South Shore, offering some of the island’s most picturesque landscapes. Stop at Halona Blowhole, where ocean waves create dramatic bursts of water through a lava rock formation. Then, visit Hanauma Bay, a marine sanctuary famous for its crystal-clear waters and vibrant coral reefs. Finally, marvel at the iconic Diamond Head Crater, one of Hawaii’s most recognizable landmarks. As the tour concludes, enjoy sweeping views of the Windward Coast and its offshore islands, providing the perfect ending to an unforgettable day.
