How a day trip from Maui works

Most of our tours from Maui are one-day fly-away trips: you take an early morning flight from Kahului Airport (OGG) to Honolulu, our guide meets you on arrival, and you fly back to Maui the same evening. Round-trip inter-island airfare, ground transport on Oahu and attraction tickets are included. Getting to and from Kahului Airport on Maui is up to you.

• Pearl Harbor: the Arizona Memorial and historic Honolulu tour (about 7 to 8 hours), Battleships of WWII, or the Complete Pearl Harbor Experience.
• Pearl Harbor and Oahu sights: Pearl Harbor and Mini Circle Island, the Grand Circle Island tour, or Pearl Harbor, Dole Plantation and the Polynesian Cultural Center.
• Volcanoes: fly to the Big Island for Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, or add a helicopter flight with the volcano eco-adventure and helicopter tour.

Road to Hana from Maui

Staying on Maui? The Road to Hana Deluxe Rainforest and Waterfall Experience picks you up from Maui hotels and resorts for a full day of waterfalls, rainforest and coastline, with a guide doing the driving on the famous winding road. A private Road to Hana tour is available for groups of up to 12.

Is airfare included on tours from Maui?

Yes. Round-trip inter-island airfare between Maui and Oahu (or the Big Island) is included in the tour price.

Do I need to get to the airport myself?

Yes. Transport to and from Kahului Airport on Maui is not included. On Oahu, pickup and drop-off at Honolulu International Airport are included.

How long is a day trip from Maui to Pearl Harbor?

Between about 7 and 11 hours, depending on the tour. Pickup on Oahu is usually between 7:00 and 8:00 AM, and all times are approximate.

What do I need to bring?

A government-issued photo ID for the flights (international visitors need a passport), comfortable shoes and a small clear bag if you need one at Pearl Harbor.

Does the Road to Hana tour include hotel pickup?

Yes. The Road to Hana Deluxe tour picks up from Maui hotels and resorts, usually between 6:00 and 7:00 AM.
